POSITION SUMMARY:

The Group Marketing Manager - Pain Management will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the Pain Management franchise by leading both upstream and downstream marketing initiatives for the cardiothoracic application ofCryo Nerve Block This position will be responsible for shaping therapy's strategic direction, guiding product and procedure development, and ensuring effective market adoption and growth. The role will lead upstream efforts including therapy development, market assessment, and strategic planning in collaboration with R&D, Clinical, and Scientific Affairs teams, while also driving downstream initiatives such as commercial execution, messaging, and promotional strategies to support adoption and utilization. Success in this position requires close partnership with cross-functional teams including Field Sales, Professional Education, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure alignment and execution of franchise objectives. Reporting to the Pain Management Franchise Marketing Leader, this role will have significant impact on advancing innovative solutions for post-operative pain management in cardiothoracic procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
  • Lead the product marketing team in the development and execution of the cardiothoracic Cryo Nerve Block therapy strategy, including upstream market development and downstream commercialization plans.
  • Set priorities and manage day-to-day activities of the team to ensure strong performance and growth across the team.
  • Develop the team through coaching and mentorship, supporting each individual's career aspirations and development goals.
  • Serve as a strong communicator and trusted leader, effectively guiding cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across Clinical, R&D, Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, and Medical Education.
  • Lead and guide the team to develop and implement upstream initiatives to build therapy foundation, including market assessments, procedure development, and voice-of-customer activities.
  • Contribute to FTE plans and budget plans. Build a highly capable team through education, on-job experiences, and mentoring/development.
  • Drive downstream marketing efforts such as messaging, promotional campaigns, and launch execution in partnership with commercial teams.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and cascade internal insights to inform strategy and product development.
  • Support clinical team with trial and registry activities, ensuring alignment with therapy objectives and evidence generation strategies.
  • Represent the franchise at relevant society conferences and professional meetings to support therapy awareness and adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure product and therapy initiatives meet all standards and requirements.
  • Partner with Professional Education and Clinical Field teams to develop training pathways and curriculum for cardiothoracic cryoNB therapy.
  • Act as a self-starter, independently acquiring knowledge on new opportunities, technologies, and market trends to advance organizational expertise.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn complex anatomical, procedural, pharmacological, and neurological concepts relevant to cardiothoracic pain management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, biomedical engineering, or related field
  • Minimum experience of seven to ten (7-10) years in Product Marketing, Sales, Professional Education, R&D, or other Medical Device experience
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Exceptional writing skills, including experience in crafting messages for various channels
  • Analytical and strategic, effective technical writer, and strong moderator/presenter
  • Experience developing and deploying content in a highly regulated environment
  • Ability to anticipate the expectations and needs of the organization to take a proactive approach in completing projects and problem recognition/ solving
  • Ability to travel 25-35%


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in Medical Device Marketing, Sales, Education or Engineering
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience commercializing a medical device therapy
  • Ability to learn, comprehend and interpret technical information and promotional messages
  • MBA, MS, or advanced degree

Minnesota pay range

$145,000-$180,000 USD
