This position is currently supported through funding from the Rural Health Transformation Grant and a multi-year HRSA Grant. Job Summary
The Grants & Programming Manager is responsible for coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and supporting major grant-funded and strategic programs at McDonough District Hospital (MDH). This position will initially have significant responsibility for the successful execution of two major federal funding initiatives, including Rural Health Transformation (RHT)-related programming and a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant.
The Grants & Programming Manager serves as a central point of coordination between hospital leadership, operational departments, Finance, community partners, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure grant-funded programs are implemented according to approved objectives, budgets, timelines, performance measures, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is an experienced program and grant professional who can independently manage multiple complex initiatives, organize multidisciplinary teams, analyze performance data, identify risks and barriers, and move projects from concept through implementation, evaluation, reporting, and closeout.
Job Specifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health care administration, public health, business administration, project management, finance, data analytics, community health, public administration, or a related field required.
Master's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in grant coordination, program coordination, program management, grant-funded program implementation, or a closely related role required.
Experience developing and managing project timelines, deliverables, performance measures, reports, and stakeholder communications required.
Experience working with federal grants, cooperative agreements, or federally funded programs strongly preferred.
Health care, hospital, rural health, public health, or community health experience strongly preferred.
Experience with HRSA, CMS, HHS, state health agencies, or similar governmental funding programs preferred.
Experience identifying funding opportunities and coordinating successful grant applications preferred.
Experience in data analytics, performance measurement, dashboard development, or data visualization preferred.
Experience with health care quality improvement or performance improvement methodologies preferred.

Knowledge of federal grant administration, quality improvement, and performance improvement principles preferred, with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication, accountability, and collaboration.
