The Elementary Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Grant Park Elementary School and works collaboratively with the Superintendent, administrative team, faculty, staff, families, and community to promote a safe, welcoming, and high-performing learning environment.
The principal will be expected to:
- Provide strong instructional leadership focused on student growth, achievement, and high-quality teaching and learning.
- Build meaningful relationships with scholars, staff, families, and the Grant Park community.
- Establish a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture.
- Support, coach, and evaluate faculty and staff while promoting professional growth and collaboration.
- Use student achievement and other relevant data to guide instructional decisions and school improvement efforts.
- Maintain high expectations while recognizing and celebrating the successes of students and staff.
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, interventions, special education services, and student supports.
- Promote consistent, fair, and restorative approaches to student behavior and discipline.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the school day and at school and community events.
- Collaborate as a member of the District administrative team to advance District goals and initiatives.
- Communicate openly, professionally, and consistently with staff, families, and the community.
- Oversee building operations, scheduling, transportation, safety, budgeting, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Model integrity, enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine commitment to children.
