Job Description Summary:
The Government Accounting & Compliance Analyst 2 will utilize experience and knowledge of Government regulations to ensure consistency in charging practices across the company. Perform various tasks pertaining to cost accounting compliance for government contracts, including regulatory review and interpretation for current and proposed contracts, preparation of annual cost-related submissions and supporting documentation, ongoing monitoring and review of transactional data for allowability and allocability, and providing support, training and guidance to ensure Draper complies with applicable regulations. The position will interface with a nearly all areas within Draper, including Internal Audit, Contracts / Subcontracts, Procurement, Property, Programs, Engineering, Legal, Business Winning.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and maintain government accounting policies and procedures that comply with Federal regulations.
• Ensure compliance through monitoring (internal reviews / testing / compliance checks).
• Maintain CASB Disclosure Statement
• Support continuous evaluation, maintenance and development alternatives to existing cost accounting rate structure for optimal business operation.
• Provide Government accounting expertise in support of preparation and submission of Government submissions.
• Responsible for reviewing indirect project setup forms for appropriate project classifications and compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Responsible for reviewing labor/cost transfers for reasonableness, accuracy and compliance with established charging policies/procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge on FAR, FAR Supplements, CAS, and DCAA accounting compliance.
• Support business tool implementation and policy and procedures documentation for new integrated business tools and financial initiatives/special projects.
• Develop, coordinate, and/or conduct compliance related training as needed.
• Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental/company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and oral skills Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of database structures for data extraction from PeopleSoft; advanced Excel skills needed
• Strong oral and written communication skills necessary, as is ability to cultivate critical inter and intra departmental working relationships, foster an environment of cooperation and trust and effectively meet deadlines while providing a high level of customer service
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance and OMB regulations

Education
Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, Law or related discipline

Experience
• 3 - 5 years of finance/accounting experience and US Federal contracting.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$75,000.00 - $156,000.00
