Full Job Description
About the role:

Own all contract-manufacturing procurement and supply for our compute systems - the commercial and operational owner of our CM/ODM relationships. You'll partner with engineering and program management to take complex hardware from prototype to high-volume production. This is a generalist's role across the CM space: you may go deep in one area, but you understand the entire HPC supply chain - from SMT through L11 rack integration - well enough to make smart trade-offs and get the most out of the dominant players.
What You'll Do
  • Own the commercial relationship with CMs/ODMs -strategy, negotiation, cost, capacity, and supply continuity
  • Negotiate the MSAs, MPAs, NDAs, and SOWs that govern the CM relationship and protect DensityAI commercially
  • Pick the right procurement model per program - consignment, directed buy/sell, or turnkey - balancing cost, control, and risk
  • Partner across the full NPI lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT) to keep builds on schedule, and run supply fundamentals - Clear-to-Build readiness, ABC shortage reports, and BOM/materials risk
  • Own procure-to-pay (PO creation, change management, corrective action) with auditable rigor
  • Manage CM cost and commercial performance (labor, markup, NRE, tooling, yield/scrap, logistics) to protect margin - and navigate disruption with calm and a plan
HPC SUPPLY CHAIN FLUENCY

Bring a system-level understanding of the high-performance-compute hardware supply chain - thermal/liquid cooling (cold plates, manifolds), backplanes and cable/harness assemblies, L11 rack-and-stack/server assembly, and power delivery (busbars, PSUs, PDUs). Depth in one is welcome; breadth across all is required.
What we're looking for:
  • First-hand relationships with the dominant CM/ODM players
  • System-level grasp of the HPC supply chain (cooling, backplanes, rack integration, server assembly, power)
  • Proven MSA/MPA/NDA/SOW negotiation with CMs/ODMs and a clear grasp of CM commercial models
  • Command of supply-chain fundamentals - Clear-to-Build, ABC shortage reports, materials risk and corrective action - plus the procurement actions required at each EVT/DVT/PVT milestone
  • Procure-to-pay proficiency and fluency with ERP/MRP/MES/PO systems; comfort with ambiguity
  • Took complex electromechanical or data-center hardware from NPI to high-volume production with a CM/ODM (preferred)
  • Familiarity with liquid-cooled / high-density compute or data-center infrastructure (preferred)
  • Stood up a new CM relationship or transferred a program between manufacturers (preferred)
  • Built or improved CTB / shortage-management processes (not just operated within them); business-level Mandarin a plus given the CM landscape (preferred)
Compensation

Final offers depend on level, location, and skills relevant to the role. Additional compensation: equity grant per company guidelines; medical / dental / vision; 401(k); standard PTO.
Visa Sponsorship

DensityAI sponsors qualified candidates for H-1B, O-1, TN, E-3, and other employment-based visas, and we welcome applicants on F-1 OPT and STEM-OPT. Work authorization is required at start; we provide immigration support to secure or transfer status.
Export Controls

Aspects of this role may involve access to information subject to U.S. export controls (EAR/ITAR). We may discuss licensing or scope adjustments during the interview.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.

California pay range
