Standard Job DescriptionThe WorkLead the development of new system concepts by transforming stakeholder needs, acquired through documentation and solicitation, into easily reviewable technical approaches. Perform requirements elicitation and decomposition using behavioral artifacts such as use cases, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams to convey understanding of the required behaviors and performance of the system under development. Lead the development of physical and logical system models capturing the system under development utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches and tools. Lead system interface development, as captured in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs), by converting system and interface requirements into message-level details sufficient to coordinate interface development. Support formal and informal engineering technical reviews. Create, review and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimates. Interface with key stakeholders, including the MDA customer and working-level counterparts, as-required. Participate in Agile development planning and execution, including iteration planning and status reporting.Work will be performed as a member of an Agile Scrum team under the direction of a Team Lead who reports to the C2BMC Global Systems Engineering Manager.
Standard Job DescriptionPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.
Basic Qualifications• A final TS clearance is required.
• Candidate must have Systems Engineering/Architecture with Test Experience.
• Systems Engineer with experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems engineers developing solutions covering all aspects of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle.
Desired Skills• Experience performing many of the responsibilities of this position, with a particular focus on concept development and requirement decomposition.
• Experience with using MBSE approaches and tools (e.g. Cameo).
• Experience working on tasks where failure to achieve good results normally results in program delays and wasted expenditure of resources.
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (written and verbal) with others, present technical content, and receive critical feedback.
• Ability to support short-notice and/or urgent tasks without a loss of efficiency.
• Experience regularly interacting with the customer, specifically in elicitation of customer needs and requirements.
• Experience with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
• Experience with one or more elements involved in Space Defense, Space Domain Awareness, or other Space Missions.
• Experience with complex Command and Control Systems, especially those with heavy networking capabilities.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
