Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance an Advanced Planning System for tactical supply chain management.

  • Publish monthly integrated supply reports on manufacturing plans and capacity utilization.
  • Generate and archive monthly de-aggregation reports for supply and demand processes.
  • Upload constraint demand data to ERP for accurate MPS/MRP maintenance.
  • Develop and deliver training for new users of the planning system.
  • Provide problem-solving support to Value Chain Managers for effective system use.
  • Create ad-hoc supply chain analyses for global functions, including executive presentations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and enhance planning systems.

Duties:
*This position will end up supporting GSK once the divestiture of Vaccines is complete.*
Job Purpose
Main contact for all matters around system support, training and enhancement for the various planning tools used for product planning in the tactical horizon (5-24 months). Core responsibilities revolve around supporting, enhancing and monitoring the system used by the Global Value Chain Management team during the Rough Cut Capacity Planning Process as part of the global S&OP and around providing special analysis for senior level
Major Accountabilities
  • Operate, Update and enhance an Advanced Planning System (Client) supporting tactical supply chain management plans presented and discussed during the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Collect all planning assumptions provided by the worldwide manufacturing sites through the Global Capacity Review Process and update the Client accordingly in support of timely start of the Global monthly S&OP planning process.
  • Maintain visibility to the structure and assumptions of the RCCP model through maintaining the assumptions file on the S&OP SharePoint
  • Maintain and publish monthly production, Inventory and supply report (the integrated supply playbook) summarizing the latest global network manufacturing plans and capacity utilization and products prioritization assumptions, supply and inventory projections
  • Generate and publish the monthly de-aggregation report for the monthly Supply and Demand processes and ensure correct and timely archiving on SharePoint.
  • Collect and upload the agreed upon constraint demand (filled de-aggregation file) to the operational ERP system in a timely manner to allow sites to maintain accurate MPS/MRP
  • Develop and maintain complete trainings for Client utilized by global planning and provide direct hands-on guidance to new users
  • Provide system problem solving and modelling support to Value Chain Managers to ensure efficient use of available functionality.
  • Develop additional ad-hoc analyses of Supply Chain data as requested in support of the global supply chain function ready to be presented to the executive level
  • Use strong system skills and business knowledge to continuously develop global planning capabilities
  • Work directly with technical experts (e.g., SAP team, OMP+ tech support) to troubleshoot the planning system and develop and implement enhancements
Skills:
  • A degree in Engineering/Computing
  • At least 8 years of work experience of them at least 4 years working in a related function,
  • An experience in supply chain function is required.
  • IT training in ERP systems required
  • English (fluent), plus mother tongue.
  • Competency in SAP ECC PP module or similar ERP system. Experience with setup/maintenance of BOM's, recipes, production versions, material masters, work centres, manufacturing calendars
  • High competency in Excel including pivot tables, logic functions required. Knowledge in VBA preferred
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and logical skills.
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams
  • Experience in preparing presentations and analysis to the executive level
  • Experience in multicultural and matrix environments
  • Understanding of databases - a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of Client Vaccines supply chain operations a plus.
  • Interpersonal, motivational and people management skills strong ability to influence across all levels in the organisation.
  • Ability to simplify technical logic and functions into an easy to understand description.
