About the job:
Lead the strategy (and its execution) to provide and distribute ad-hoc product solutions to BBVA institutional clients (Insurance, Asset Managers, Pension Funds...) in the region under his/her responsibility. Establish client relationships, providing them with ad-hoc GM products recommendations to satisfy their hedging and/ or investment needs.
Description
• Collaborate with the Global Sales Manager in defining/implementing the commercial strategy for the Institutional Solutions business and setting the unit business plan & budget taking into account the market drivers and investors' appetite
• Generate recurrent income to meet revenues targets that are set each year in the Global Sales unit and Global Sales & Structuring overall budget
• Lead and promote the distribution among institutional clients of ad-hoc solutions
• Interacting permanently with clients & identifying new business opportunities
• Lead the team coordination, delegating tasks amongst the team. Follow up and supervision of all ongoing commercial activity
• Drive the origination of commercial opportunities with institutional clients, managing a specific client portfolio
• Encourage the coordination and strategic alignment with other GM/CIB areas to reinforce BBVA GM product trading and structured product development capabilities
• Drive the interaction with Risk unit for negotiating approvals
• Track the unit activity monitoring main activity indicators. Follow up the operations' pipeline and the budget compliance
• Lead a key role in promoting the bank's positioning a key player in the market in the region
• Lead the coordination with Policies & Procedures CIB for the definition and update of the Institutional Solutions Sales operating procedures and with IC CIB for monitoring the compliance with the established operative framework
• Ensure that the unit activity complies with internal & external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Introduce the unit activity with institutional clients both to internal and external clients
• Manage all staffing issues for the unit together with the Sales Manager and TC CIB
• Report to the in-line Sales Manager on a periodic and ad-hoc basis about main unit activity
Qualification
• 12+yrs of experience
• Bachelors degree required
• Series 24, 7, 63, 79 are required
With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $300,000 to $400,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
