Description

Fellowes Mobile currently operates two days in office; Tuesdays and one other weekday. A third day in office may be required due to deadlines and projects.

Role Summary

As our Global Market Manager I, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of customer, category and product strategies. The Marketing Manager will also be instrumental in achieving budgeted Net Sales and EBITDA goals and directly interacting with key partner stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams. Large emphasis on managing Private Brand business.

In This Role, You Will Be Executing the Following:

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
  • Leverage market and POS data to bring product assortment & performance knowledge, competitive insights, price ladder information, and new product ideas to internal Product Development, Graphic Design, and Industrial Design teams
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer and the Consumer in New Product Development Process
  • Lead specific New Product Development projects from ideation through execution
  • Collaborate with key cross functional stakeholders to establish financial targets and goals for New Product Development
  • Deliver all marketing assets (packaging, promotional materials, etc.) for new products on time, on spec and on cost
  • Help to make decisions on product finishes, colors, features and accenting to create compelling products that are innovative, unique and yet have mass appeal
  • Participate and help bring data and decision-making to a fast-paced and comprehensive product lifecycle management

DIGITAL MARKETING
  • Bring omnichannel launch mindset to cross-functional teams
  • In conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager, manage the overall Walmart.com strategy working with the digital marketing manager and digital assistant to drive and execute key initiatives that will drive significant digital growth

CUSTOMER STRATEGY & PRESENTATIONS
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, operations and other key cross-functional team members to plan and present data driven recommendations
  • Support internal preparations for bi-weekly customer meetings ensuring that the presentation deck is thorough, action-driven, and presents well
  • Deliver item pricing insights with consideration for market benchmarks and customer price ladders, providing critical guidance to the team on cost targets
  • Partner with senior marketing peers to deliver customer line review presentations, samples, and flow from concept through execution. Ensure all follow-ups from the review are actioned quickly and accurately.
    • Create line review deck content and coordinate key stakeholder inputs and approvals
    • Partner with cross-functional team to plan and execute key customer proposals
    • Analyze reporting needed to deliver data driven recommendations
    • Partner with Market Data Syndicators to identify market share growth opportunities

CUSTOMER EXECUTION
  • Collaborate with marketing team on ad hoc customer requests
  • Contribute to weekly call agendas and attend weekly customer facing project calls ensuring all priority topics are covered and notes and insights are captured correctly
  • Manage key product projects by coordinating or leading a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to execute on time, on quality, and on budget
  • Execute highly detail oriented specific administrative tasks focused on product set up through internal and external processes and systems
  • Deliver on time results for projects involving packaging and communications through the execution and management of all details from start to finish

MARKET AND CUSTOMER DATA ANALYSIS
  • Run and analyze point of sale data from both Walmart Scintilla and Circana to understand category and product trends which inform new product development and customer presentations.
  • Partner with Circana Account Manager to glean key market insights and translate into actionable recommendations.
  • Leverage Walmart Scintilla to track Modular performance and to better understand shopper behavior
  • Create tools to track Modular performance and drive item level assortment recommendations
  • Strategically analyze data across multiple sources to formulate strong, data-driven customer proposals
  • Translate customer and consumer data into new, innovative product development opportunities

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related degree and/or a combination of education and/or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
  • Experience with Walmart / Walmart Private Label preferred, not required*
  • 3+ years of marketing, brand or channel management or consumer products experience, with at least 2 years in developing consumer products through product development process
  • Hands-on experience working with category data (NPD Group, IRI, Circana, Nielsen)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role

The hiring range for this position in in Schaumburg is $90,000 - $100,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
