Global Manufacturing Technology Leader – Healthcare SolutionsBuild the manufacturing capabilities that bring healthcare innovations to scaleWe are looking for a Global Manufacturing Technology Leader – Healthcare Solutions to lead the development and execution of manufacturing technology across our global Healthcare manufacturing network.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who knows how to take products and processes from development through scale-up, technology transfer, and successful commercial manufacturing.
You’ll partner across Technology, R&D, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to build robust, scalable manufacturing solutions that meet demanding quality, regulatory, operational, and customer requirements.
Just as importantly, you’ll help shape the future of our manufacturing capabilities by developing technical talent, advancing best practices across sites, and driving continuous improvement throughout the network.
This position reports to the Global Integrated Operations Leader, with functional guidance from the Global Technology Director.
What You’ll DoLead manufacturing technology and scale-up- Lead manufacturing technology activities supporting new product introduction (NPI), process scale-up, industrialization, and technology transfer into commercial manufacturing.
- Drive execution of the asset and process strategy, including capacity planning, capital deployment, expansions, product transfers, and manufacturing readiness for new programs.
- Ensure manufacturing processes consistently deliver against critical-to-quality (CTQ), regulatory, customer, and operational requirements.
- Bring manufacturing expertise into early product development to strengthen design for manufacturability (DFM) and create effective scale-up strategies.
Advance operational excellence- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing network with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
- Improve yield and process capability while reducing waste and strengthening manufacturing performance.
- Support the qualification and validation of new equipment, tooling, automation, and manufacturing processes.
- Identify manufacturing risks early and put effective mitigation strategies in place.
Collaborate across functions and geographies- Partner with Technology Development, R&D, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serve as a trusted technical leader who can connect development intent with the realities of commercial manufacturing.
- Build alignment across teams, sites, and geographies to enable successful execution of complex manufacturing initiatives.
Build technical capability- Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Technology teams, strengthening both technical expertise and execution capability.
- Drive standardization and deployment of manufacturing best practices across sites.
- Foster a culture centered on technical rigor, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll BringRequired qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of industry experience, ideally within medical device manufacturing.
- Significant experience in medical device manufacturing technology, process engineering, or industrialization within regulated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on industry experience with injection molding and/or extrusion.
- Demonstrated leadership in new product scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing capability development.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Even Better If You Have- An advanced degree such as an MS or Ph.D. in Engineering or Science.
- CDMO experience within plastics manufacturing.
- Experience leading global or multi-site manufacturing technology teams.
What Success Looks LikeYou’ll thrive in this role if you can move comfortably between strategy and execution. You know how to translate product and development requirements into robust, scalable manufacturing solutions, and you bring the technical credibility to influence decisions across functions and geographies.
You balance speed with quality, understand the realities of operating in a regulated manufacturing environment, and know how to build teams and capabilities that deliver sustainable results.
LocationFlexible within the Healthcare manufacturing footprint. This is a site-based role with significant global interaction and collaboration.
Why This Opportunity? This is an opportunity to have a meaningful impact beyond a single plant or program. You’ll help shape manufacturing technology across a global network, influence how new healthcare products move from development to commercialization, and build the capabilities needed to support future growth.
Key Success Factors
- Ability to translate development intent into robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.
- Strong execution mindset with balanced focus on speed, quality, and sustainability.
- Credibility as a technical leader who can influence across functions and geographies.
