Mars Champions is a global program recognizing Associates who personify the Five Principles internally and externally and have demonstrated that commitment over at least 10 years with Mars. It is an evolution of the Mars Tie and Scarf Club, created over 60 years ago by Forrest Mars Jr. and his brother John, originally to honor Sales Associates, with all functions across all Segments and business units globally now part of the program. The Global Lead for Mars Champions is responsible for overall management of the program within the business, in alignment with the Mars Family Governing Board. They will support execution of Mars Champions ceremonies in partnership with local sites and a global network of ambassadors as well as partner with P&O to mobilize active Mars Champions within the business in support of the Mars culture.
What are we looking for?
• 5+ years of progressive Mars experience in program management, associate engagement, internal communications, human resources / P&O, or corporate recognition programs.
• Global Stakeholder Management & Governance: Demonstrated experience preparing executive-level briefings, driving governance rhythms, and partnering with senior executives or board-level steering committees.
• HR Systems & Digital Content Oversight:Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS)-preferably Workday-for membership data management and reporting.Experience administering corporate intranet sites, collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, MyMars/corporate portal), and digital communication channels.
• Executive Communication: Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills suited for high-level governance boards and broad associate audiences.
• Data & Database Management: Strong organizational skills with proficiency in spreadsheet and database tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SharePoint lists) to track nominations, inductions, and program metrics.
• Mars / Heritage Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Mars Five Principles, associate culture, organizational structure, and brand heritage.
What will be your key responsibilities?
• Consistently promote awareness of Mars Champions program within Mars and ensure the image and protocol remain relevant and inspiring for all Associates.
• Lead overall management and governance of the Mars Champions program including chairing Mars Family Governance Board calls, providing regular updates on membership, upcoming events and opportunities to expand program as well as acting on requested program adjustments.
• Make certain that all elements of the program achieve the desired growth targets and impact.
• Partner with P&O to drive engagement of both active and retired Mars Champions in support of the Mars culture.
• Lead a team of Global Ambassadors responsible for planning and executing program locally:
• Develop and execute training on program protocols and tools
• Document continuous improvement opportunities and execute changes
• Provide guidance and oversight of Champions induction events
• Inspire collaboration and best practices across Ambassadors
• Ensure Ambassadors are providing regional engagement opportunities across the membership
• Secure ongoing funding for Mars Champions digital site maintenance, branded items and other items necessary to achieve program goals.
• Oversee the Mars Champions MyMars site and the Members SharePoint site ensuring content is always up to date.
• Refresh program branding, materials and websites as needed.
• Partner with TOUCH administrator to identify potential Champions events including monitoring Site Anniversaries, Line Openings, Global Senior Leader Meetings and other events that could include a Mars Champions ceremony.
• Maintain the Mars Champions membership list ensuring information in Workday remains up to date in partnership with P&O and manually track for businesses not in Workday.
• Manage the database of Associates who've been recommended for nomination and provide visibility to local Mars Champions and senior leaders when induction opportunities arise.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 153,600.00 - USD 211,200.00
