About the Role

As a CBRE Engineering &Technical Sr. Director, you will oversee all technical and mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, program standardization, asset management, and workforce development programs for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings for the Industrial, Logistics and Defense (ILD) Sector globally.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing oversight, leadership, support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems as well as programs and governance for all of our Industrial, Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace, Government and Defense Sector globally.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the global implementation of Engineering and Technical services standards for the ILD Sector globally.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Act as a key business partner to put in place initiatives and start process improvements.
  • Coordinate and manage account team governance and implementation of initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate department deadlines and interface with Enterprise Platform leadership as needed.
  • Partner with national and global senior management to develop and implement strategies that optimize operational performance and support the business.
  • Oversee client services support activities to drive the productivity of client-facing professionals.
  • Direct the business operations activities nationally. Develop partnerships with internal department management.
  • Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business.
  • Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy.
  • Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.
  • Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in the areas of Industrial and Manufacturing environments required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing industry methodologies for continuous improvement or standards such as Lean Six Sigma or ISO900 systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. as well as experience with AI.
  • Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Global Director position is $220,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Global Director position is $240,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
