Reporting to the Head of Operations, Service, Claims & Transformation Finance, this role plays a central position within Group Benefits Finance, supporting financial analytics, performance insights, and strategic decision support across all operational areas.
This role will help shape Guardian's enterprise capital planning across its U.S. and Bermuda-domiciled entities. This role offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of capital strategy, regulatory frameworks, investment decisions, and business planning, with exposure to senior cross-functional partners and analysis that directly informs capital forecasting and enterprise decision-making.
You will partner closely with Investment Management, Corporate Actuarial, Asset/Liability Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Enterprise/Line of Business Financial Planning and Analysis, giving the analyst a broad view into how critical financial, investment, and strategic business considerations tie together.
This position reports to the Head of Global Capital Risk Management who, in turn, reports to the Head of Market Risk.
You will- Manage a continuous forecast of regulatory capital (RBC and BSCR), while driving standardization and synergies across RBC and BSCR models to modernize and strengthen enterprise-wide capital planning.
- Analyze and monitor actual financial results to identify implications to Guardian's capital position and build a deeper understanding of key risks and emerging opportunities across the enterprise.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Guardian's asset allocation strategy and how investment decisions influence capital outcomes.
- Proactively drives opportunities to support capital optimization across the balance sheet, gaining exposure to high-impact initiatives that shape Guardian's financial strength.
- Support data and technology initiatives around building capital-related databases and interactive capital dashboards that enhance transparency, analysis, and decision support for senior leadership.

You have- 5+ years of experience in the life insurance industry; familiarity with Bermuda's capital framework highly desirable.
- Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or other quantitative discipline preferred.
- FSA, CPA, or CFA charterholder/candidate preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Claude and Python a plus.
- Proven communication and relationship building skills.
Location:Hybrid role - 3 days in a Guardian office located in Hudson Yards, NYC. 2 days WFH.
Salary Range:$118,980.00 - $195,465.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
