A key account manager nurtures solid and long-term relationships with key clients serving as the main point of contact, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring clients receive consistent value from ZEISS products or services. Results-oriented leader who is a consummate team player and who can effectively negotiate with others to achieve win-win outcomes.

Here’s what you’ll do:
Account Strategy: Develop mid-term and long-term business plans to increase market share and product penetration within assigned accounts.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with technical, business, operational, and executive stakeholders to access new opportunities.
Sales Leadership: Drive pipeline growth, and strategic opportunity management across the customer base. Align and negotiate customer contracts.
Sales Forecasting: Manage accurate sales forecasts, booking metrics, service renewals, and pricing negotiations to maximize profit.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive dynamics and emerging applications to identify new growth avenues and address potential threats.
Customer Management: Conduct regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key decision-makers to ensure alignment and customer success.
Technical Alignment: Partner with engineering, field marketing and application team members to address custom specifications and complex project requirements.
Internal Coordination: Lead cross-functional collaboration with product line leaders to advance account objectives and align technology portfolios with customer roadmaps.
Reporting: Assist leadership by communicating account opportunities, risks, and progress through detailed reporting and analysis.
Willingness to travel: Domestic & International
Do you qualify?
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor processes and equipment.
Minimum of 5-10 years of technical sales or account management within the semiconductor, OEM, or industrial B2B sector
Strong understanding of wafer fab equipment (WFE), microchip manufacturing processes, advanced nodes, or related hardware/chemical applications
Experienced in contract negotiation, data analysis, and familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce
Understanding of marketing responsibilities including product portfolio, price, promotion, and distribution is required.
Master or PhD Degree in Business, Engineering, Physics or Chemistry, or related experience
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity, and problem solving ability.
Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is as follows:
Mountain States $90,000 – $112,000
SF Bay Area $112,000 – $140,000
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
