Job Description:

This individual will coordinate the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the largest and most complex jobsite for completion on time and on budget. (Such as large high performance data centers.) This includes enforcing safety programs while managing and training personnel; understanding and controlling project budget. You will collaborate with trades foremen, superintendent and project management of all scopes of the project; owners and/or tenants.

Some things you can expect to do:
  • Project set-up.
  • Documentation.
  • Coordination of subcontractors and Ryan Company employees.
  • Managing and training personnel.
  • Anticipate, make objective decisions and seek creative solutions to problems.
  • Effectively communicate with all project team members:
  • Communicate between the office and field.
  • Communicate with the Architect and Owner.
  • Communicate and coordinate with city officials and inspectors.
  • Build relationships.
  • Build a working relationship with the Owner and Architect.
  • Positive leadership utilizing the values of the Ryan Mission Statement.
  • Administer the Company policy.
  • Work efficiently and independently.
  • Manage select projects applicable to experience.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project to develop and understand C.P.M. scheduling, and use it to manage the project.
  • Comprehend and administer project budgets.
  • Ability to read, comprehend prints and specifications to provide proper direction to project personnel.
  • Develop computer skills.
  • The ability to understand the shop drawing process (and teach subordinates).
  • Administer project safety per Ryan policies.
  • Read and administer contracts.
  • Minimize warranty issues through good reviews and management.
  • Value engineer projects and details.
  • Assist project team with material procurement process.
  • Verify all contract changes to the project.
  • Expedite and control all material purchases.
  • Negotiate and purchase limited contracts.
  • Do estimates for self-performed work (bids)
  • Oversee project closeout.
  • Sell Ryan Companies to the public.
  • To produce a high quality and quantity of work on schedule and under budget.
  • To grow in knowledge of plan reading and understanding of all phases of the project.

  • Previous experience creating and managing a MS Project schedule, and familiarity with the construction market.
  • Self-motivation and can supervise and work well with others while fostering a positive and inclusive work space.
