GENERAL MANAGER - RESTORATION (MITIGATION)

LOCATION: San Diego, CA
THE OPPORTUNITY

The General Manager drives the performance and success of the Eugene branch, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This pivotal leadership role oversees multiple departments, fosters cross-team collaboration, and maintains a strong focus on financial performance, customer satisfaction, and business development. The GM ensures alignment with our Client's strategic goals while building strong client relationships for long-term success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership & Strategic Planning
• Develop, implement, and optimize operational systems, processes, and policies to achieve strategic goals and drive branch performance
• Manage all facets of the office and personnel, reporting results upwardly while identifying areas of concern and implementing solutions in compliance with company standards
• Lead, supervise, coordinate, and control all departments to focus on increasing owner's equity through effective personnel management
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and maintain adherence to quality standards and company practices
• Champion operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of customer service
Financial Management & Business Development
• Oversee budgeting, financial management, and performance analysis to maximize profitability
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients while actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Drive revenue growth through strategic business development initiatives and market expansion
• Review all transactions and financial reports to ensure accuracy and identify growth opportunities
• Work independently to meet and exceed managerial and financial goals
Team Leadership & Development
• Coach, lead, and develop all team members to obtain new business and increase branch growth
• Ensure staff members are properly trained in company practices and protocols, demonstrating knowledge of systems, standards, account management, and job duties
• Develop clear career paths to maintain retention of top team members
• Provide ongoing coaching and training to help your team reach company objectives, increase revenue, and further develop their skills

Client Relations & Quality Assurance
• Work with property owners and insurance adjusters after traumatic events to coordinate cleanup and repair of damage to residential and commercial properties
• Build foundational relationships based on trust, actively listen to client needs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences
• Supervise project managers and estimators to ensure projects are scoped accurately and completed to the highest quality standards
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain Our Client's reputation for performance, integrity, and responsibility among customers and insurance carriers
Project Oversight
• Oversee emergency response operations and ensure rapid, professional service delivery 24/7/365
• Coordinate with project managers on large-loss restoration and reconstruction projects
• Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards and quality control
• Monitor project lifecycles from initial assessment through final completion
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in construction, restoration, or insurance industries with a proven track record managing operations
• Extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, and performance analysis
• Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local regulations in restoration services
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to engage and influence internal teams and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while ensuring quality and operational excellence
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle according to company Auto Policy
• Proficiency in using restoration estimating software (e.g., Xactimate)
Preferred:
• Experience with disaster restoration processes including water and fire mitigation, mold remediation, and reconstruction
• Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with insurance professionals
• Background in both restoration and construction project management
• Industry certifications (IICRC, RIA, or similar)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Due to the nature of the restoration business, this position requires flexibility to work normal business hours but may be required to work evenings, on-call, or outside normal working hours to respond to emergencies. The role requires manual dexterity for keyboarding, repetitive tasks, and prolonged periods of computer use, as well as the ability to visit job sites and meet with clients as needed.
