RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive dental care to patients of Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics.
- Monitor and supervise Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residents.
- Collaborate with a team of dentists and staff to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
- Work closely with medical clinics to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic healthcare delivery.
- Conduct dental examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Perform routine dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, removable and fixed prosthetics as well as planning for and maintaining implants.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the state of California.
- Current BLS or CPR license.
- Experience working in a community health center
- Experience working in a community health center or similar setting preferred.
- Proficiency in dental procedures such as restorative dentistry, endodontics, removable and oral surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Spanish is a plus but not required. Staff available for interpretation for all appointments.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to underserved populations.

- Our site has a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) score of 25, making candidates eligible for National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment/forgiveness.

SCHEDULE:
- Positions available for both part-time and full-time employment.
- Flexible schedule covering hours from Monday through Saturday.
- Availability to work at both stationary dental clinics and mobile clinic as needed.

SALARY RANGE: 170,000 - 192,000
