Full Job Description
We are looking for a Garment Development Assistant who will bring passion for technical and fit side of apparel development. You will have exposure to pattern-making and fit block development, and other activities that support delivering manufacturing ready product. The skills that go into this role are necessary to meet our aesthetic and innovation goals, global sourcing strategies, cost, quality and safety.
About the Job
• Evaluate technical details and measure garments
• Help coordinate complete product development packages
• Ensure that pre-production logs are accurate and updated
• Schedule fittings and fit models
• Prepare for, set up and attend fittings
• Prepare samples used for fittings
• Take fit notes and share across teams
• Manage package deliveries and samples
• Manage wear tests by FD/GD/PD's
• General organization and management of samples
About You
• 1+ years of experience focusing on garment specification and construction
• Pattern, fit, and technical understanding of garments
• Project management abilities
• Proficiency with Word, Excel (can perform complex functions), CAD, Illustrator, PLM and Gerber Accumark Fit development
• Design school experience.
• Strong technical communication skills
• Team-oriented
This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on our needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $70,000 - $101,000 per year We may pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
