The Maintenance Manager is responsible for upholding a high standard of professionalism while holding worker safety as paramount during the execution of the asset care needs of the G3 Grain Terminal in North Vancouver. The Maintenance Manager is a key member of the team in the direct execution of repairs, maintenance and improvements at the G3TV site for all infrastructure and disciplines.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:- Adhere to provincial and federal regulation, site safety standards, safe-work practices and target zero safety related incident while directly supervising hourly workers and contractors.
- Plan and execute detailed maintenance requirements for all site infrastructure including process equipment and systems, automation systems, site utilities and buildings.
- Contribute to meeting financial targets including budget management and adhering to financial policies and processes.
- Interface with operations team to plan and schedule work on site equipment.
- Apply critical thinking and innovation to all work practices to strive for more efficient approaches and solutions.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure accurate and timely issuance of spare parts; owning the parts ordering and receiving process. Ensures proper housekeeping of shop and inventory.
- Manages contractor services on site adhering to site policies and safety standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:- Qualifications dependant on experience. Suitable backgrounds would include millwright, mechanical engineering technologist or mechanical engineering background.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience within a heavy industrial setting.
- Knowledge and application of Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Experience with safety programs in an industrial facility.
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
