Summary:
Serves as a senior strategic planner supporting Army operational planning, theater campaign planning, readiness assessments, contingency planning, and strategic sustainment operations.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze national strategy, Army guidance, and theater campaign plans.
- Support development of operational plans and contingency plans.
- Assess strategic risks, readiness impacts, and sustainment requirements.
- Coordinate planning efforts with HQDA, Combatant Commands, ASCCs, and AMC organizations.
- Support crisis action planning and deliberate planning processes.
- Prepare executive briefings and recommendations for senior Army leadership.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Strategic Studies, Military Operations, Logistics, National Security, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years of senior Army planning experience.
- Minimum 5 years supporting theater campaign planning.
- Experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, ASCCs, or HQDA.
- Clearance: Top Secret
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former G3, G5, G7, Joint Planner, or Combatant Command planner.
- Experience supporting General Officer and Senior Executive Service leadership.
