The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Group (SIG) supports the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center in the acquisition of the LGM-35A Sentinel (GBSD) ICBM weapon system. SIG delivers program management, systems engineering, and subject matter expertise to ensure on-time delivery of a safe, secure, and reliable strategic nuclear weapon system. SIG is conducting an immediate hire for a Sentinel Future CapabilitiesSenior Systems Engineer at Hill AFB, Utah.
Responsibilities
The Engineer is responsible for assistingin the development of new capabilities for the Sentinel ICBM weapon system and will provide expert engineering support to assist the government customer develop requirements for hardware and software on a highly complex program. This ICBM program will design, develop, produce, and deploy new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) inter-operableoperations. Program activities also include the employment of digital acquisitions through the application of digital engineering, agile software development, and open systems architectures.Responsibilities include:
Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers.
Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.
Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages.
Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Ability to work full-time at Hill AFB in Utah.
- Active DoD SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
7+ years of Engineering experience or Masters degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering experience.
3+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.
