Description

Child & Adolescent Therapist Verge Therapy

The Expectation

Full-time is 100 billable hours per month (~25/week), measured monthly, not weekly. A month absorbs the ordinary rhythm of clinical work: a heavy week, a school vacation, a run of cancellations. As a lot of our clients are school-aged, we need afternoon and evening availability. Once you have an established caseload, you build a schedule that works for you and the clients we serve.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $54-$59/hr (pre-licensed)
  • $64-$69/hr (independently licensed)
  • Total compensation: $72,000-$91,000 at baseline, more with bonus (including annual benefit package of ~$7,400-$8,100)
  • Paid biweekly, regardless of insurance payout
  • 0.2 paid admin hour per clinical hour
  • Late cancellations/no-shows paid at your rate
  • 80 hours PTO at your hourly rate, counted against caseload
  • 401(k) with up to 4% match
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Disability and Life Insurance
  • Malpractice Insurance fully covered
  • CEU reimbursement + licensure exam stipend
  • Free supervision (individual, group, licensure-track) and risk consultation
  • Paid orientation

Billable Hours Bonus
  • No cap for full-time clinicians
  • Hours past 104 pay ~$88/hr (licensed), a 38% premium
  • Consistent 115+ hours = $4,400-$4,800/year bonus (licensed) or $3,700-$4,100/year (pre-licensed)
  • Sustained performance = $100K+ total compensation

Loyalty Program
Every full-time clinician accrues a loyalty bonus each year, and the amount grows annually. Half of each year's bonus pays out on your next anniversary and half the year after. Once you are a few years in, you are collecting from multiple years at once. Loyalty bonus accrued after year 1: $2,500. Every year, this increases by $500.

Advanced Training Fellowship
Each year, we fully fund two clinicians (up to $3,500 each) for advanced certification. The tracks change annually. We set them based on what our clients are actually presenting with, so the training the practice invests in follows real clinical needs rather than a fixed menu. For 2026 the tracks are EMDR certification and IFS Level 1. Next year's slate will be shaped by where we see demand.

Where This Goes
Moving to independent licensure means a built-in ~$10,000 raise, no negotiation needed. Beyond that, Verge is growing. We added more than fifteen clinicians in the past year and are expanding across our locations, which means opportunities for advancement open up as we grow - supervisory roles, clinical leadership, and specialization.
  • A clear rate progression from pre-licensed to independently licensed
  • Ongoing specialized training and consultation across modalities
  • A team small enough that your voice carries, and structured enough that you are not improvising alone
