Full-time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Medical Oncology - Vassar Brothers Medical Center (75 minutes north of New York City)

Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking a primarily outpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in collaboration with its growing Medical Oncology team. This position will coordinate, oversee and provide advanced nursing care to medical oncology patients.

Job Highlights
  • Works collaboratively with physicians and nurses and is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conducts comprehensive and episodic heath history and physical assessment of patients.
  • Oversees treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
  • Writes orders within the limits of the practice agreement.
  • Maintains clinical documentation according to group practice.
  • Participates in clinical quality and research as needed.
  • Educates patients, families and caregivers on treatment plans.
  • Participates in learning opportunities.

Salary Range:
$120,000 - $170,000 Annually, commensurate or relative to experience.
