ResponsibilitiesFull-Stack Development- Develop andmaintainresponsive, scalable web applications using React on the front end andNextJSon the back end.Our services run on Microsoft Azure.
- Build andmaintainwell-designed APIs and services that perform under real-world conditions.
- Providethe QA team guidance, enabling them to create andmaintainautomated testing for all our applications.
- Work across the stack, shifting focus to whichever area needs it most at the time.
- Build and consume integrations with third-party and partner APIs.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis on issues across the stack.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, automate repetitive work, and improve code quality, with the judgment tovalidateand own the output.
Quality & Practices- Write testable, maintainable code and contribute to automated testing.
- Apply secure development practices to help protect customer data.
- Participate in design reviews andpeercodereviews, andhelp keep technical documentation clear and current.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering best practices within Azure DevOps.
Collaboration & Adaptability- Collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Owner, and engineers using Azure DevOps and Microsoft Teams.
- Contribute acrossdifferent productsand areas of the stack as priorities are planned and set.
- Maintain a willingness to work with new and emerging technologies beyond the core stack.
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset, suggesting better ways to build and deliver.
Skills and Experience- 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience at production scale, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Strong experience with React and a solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Strong back-end experience withNextJS, NodeJS, and the Azure ecosystem (e.g., Azure App Services, Azure Functions). Experience with package management is an asset.
- Solid understanding of API design, RESTful services, and integration patterns.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) toaid in development,review code, write tests, and debug, with the judgment tovalidateand own the output.
- Familiarity with secure development practices and version control (Git).
- Experience with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and collaboration is an asset.
- A growth mindset and a genuine willingness to work with new and emerging technologies.
- ABachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
