This role supports full-stack engineering across Katana's backend services and the Mission Control UI. The Katana team owns over ten core services and components within the Mission Control ecosystem, including campaign-manager, campaign-searcher, targeting-manager, campaign-GraphQL, and the Mission Control React UI.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and maintaining Java/Spring Boot backend services that power campaign trafficking, search, and targeting workflows.Working in the Mission Control React/TypeScript UI when initiative scope requires front-end changes.Implementing API integrations across services (REST, GraphQL, Kinesis event streams)Supporting platform modernization work including shared library decoupling, CI/CD pipeline adoption, and service independence.Participating in cross-service design, code review, and operational support.This role supports several planned and in-flight initiatives with material engineering scope, including:VSM: MC Operational Automation (TRP-7825) - backend work powering Mission Control UI improvements that reduce manual effort for ad trafficking teams. The current deliverable (Trafficking Filters) spans 7 epics and 15 stories requiring changes across campaign-searcher, campaign-GraphQL, and the MC React UI.VSM: Mission Control Improvements - engineering-driven platform modernization including event infrastructure modernization, GraphQL migration, CI/CD pipeline adoption, and disaster recovery strategy.Ongoing platform maintenance, bug fixes, and operational support across Katana-owned services.Basic Qualifications3-5+ years of relevant experienceJava, Spring Boot, MySQLReact with Node.jsEducation
