Position Description: CGI is seeking to hire an experienced Full Stack Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Angular, Node.js, APIs, microservices, and event driven architectures.
In this role, you will work on large scale enterprise applications, designing and building scalable full stack solutions with a strong focus on asynchronous processing, messaging technologies, APIs, and modern engineering practices.
This is a full-time, on site employment opportunity based in Cary, NC or Plano, TX.
Your future duties and responsibilities: . Design and develop full stack applications using Java, Angular, and Node.js
. Design, build, and scale asynchronous and event driven systems
. Develop messaging solutions using Kafka, SQS, Artemis, queues/topics, and event listeners
. Design and develop REST APIs and microservices
. Develop backend services using Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, and Web Services
. Build modern web applications using Angular, Node.js, and HTML
. Develop automated end to end tests using Playwright
. Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, or similar tools
. Troubleshoot application, messaging, integration, and performance issues
. Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on technical design and engineering best practices
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 6-9 years of hands on software development experience
. Strong experience with Java, Angular, and Node.js
. Strong Java experience with Spring MVC, Spring Core, and Web Services
. Proven experience designing and scaling asynchronous systems
. Hands on experience with Kafka, SQS, Artemis, queues/topics, and event listeners
. Strong experience with API design, REST services, and microservices architecture
. Experience with HTML and Playwright
. Experience configuring and working with web containers
. Hands on experience with CI/CD, including Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, or similar technologies
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
. Ability and willingness to work 100% onsiteDesired Skills:
. Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, or Amazon Aurora
. Experience designing scalable database schemas and optimizing database performance
. Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, Authentication and Authorization (AuthN/AuthZ)
. Understanding of monorepo architecture and Nx workspaces
. Familiarity with AWS, including S3 and EC2
. Experience with cloud native and distributed application architectures
Education: Bachelors degree in computer sciences / Engineering or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $139,300.00.
