Job Summary
The Full Stack Developer will work with an AWS development team within a Digital Payments technology organization to develop and enhance capabilities for a digital payment disbursement platform. The role will focus on modularization, configuration-driven enhancements, normalization, and scalable payment origination, processing, disbursement, and settlement capabilities. The developer will contribute across frontend and backend technology stacks, cloud-native application development, API integrations, event-driven architectures, security, data storage, testing, implementation, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop new capabilities across technology stacks within the Payment Disbursement portfolio while contributing hands-on to an AWS development team.
• Work with business analysts on requirements, prepare technical design documents, develop solutions, support testing, and implement small to mid-sized projects.
• Develop and maintain highly available AWS Lambda-based execution engines supporting high-volume payment origination, processing, disbursement, and settlement.
• Develop scalable, event-based applications using Amazon SQS and SNS.
• Diagnose application logs and identify root causes of complex technical problems using AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail.
• Develop container storage using EC2 and data stores using DynamoDB and RDS PostgreSQL.
• Build ad hoc reporting solutions using QuickSight.
• Develop security capabilities including threat monitoring and alerting using AWS GuardDuty, web API threat protection using AWS WAF, and automated security checks using AWS SecurityHub.
• Develop user experiences using JavaScript and Node.js, efficient content delivery using AWS CloudFront, and application UI storage using Amazon S3.
• Develop APIs using API Gateway and configure endpoints and keys using AppSync and Secrets Manager.
• Maintain high-performance APIs using X-Ray and integrate API logs with Splunk using Kinesis Firehose.
• Develop user management capabilities using AWS Cognito and KMS.
• Develop networking capabilities using VPC and continuous configuration management using AWS Config.
• Develop communication capabilities including notifications and system monitoring emails using SES.
• Build large data transfer capabilities using AWS Transfer Family.
• Apply Change Management and Incident Management processes using ServiceNow for production changes.
• Develop integrations between internal applications using APIs and other communication techniques.
• Complete development deliverables including sprint planning, backlog grooming, detailed design, development, unit and automated testing, defect resolution, implementation planning and execution, change controls, and production support.
• Maintain development progress and deliverable status using systems such as ADO and Jira.
• Provide L3 production support across the team.
• Collaborate with enterprise IT and business partners and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop an understanding of business processes, controls, and workflows supported by technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience using technologies supporting TypeScript-driven user experiences, RESTful web services, incoming and outgoing file processing, and asynchronous event-based integrations.
• 3+ years of hands-on Full Stack Cloud Native application development experience.
• Strong AWS experience.
• Experience with React and Angular.
• Experience developing RESTful web services and APIs.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-based application integrations.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL, including Amazon Aurora, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, including Amazon DynamoDB.
• Experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications.
• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, and related AWS capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
