Job Summary
The Full Stack Developer (AI-Native) will design, build, and run full stack features across React/TypeScript front ends, Java/Spring Boot or Node.js/Python microservices, and REST/GraphQL APIs. The role requires daily use of AI coding agents and hands-on experience building production GenAI features, including LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, prompt and tool design, and agent workflows. The developer will deploy cloud-native services on GCP and/or AWS while applying DevSecOps, responsible AI, secure coding, observability, and data privacy practices. The role also involves partnering with product, design, and data teams in agile squads and mentoring engineers on AI-assisted development practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and run full stack features using React/TypeScript front ends, Java/Spring Boot or Node.js/Python microservices, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Use AI coding agents such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor for scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, code review, and documentation while maintaining ownership of code quality and security.
• Build GenAI features into products, including LLM integrations, RAG pipelines over enterprise content, prompt and tool design, and agent workflows using approaches such as MCP-based tools.
• Implement evaluation, guardrails, and cost and latency monitoring for GenAI features.
• Deploy cloud-native services on GCP and/or AWS using Kubernetes/GKE, serverless services, and managed databases.
• Implement CI/CD using GitHub Actions and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Build applications for high-traffic ordering and loyalty flows, offline-tolerant edge applications, and low-latency APIs.
• Implement observability using tools and practices such as Datadog and OpenTelemetry.
• Apply DevSecOps and responsible AI practices, including secure coding, OAuth2/OIDC, data privacy, PII handling, and model-output review.
• Partner with product, design, and data teams in agile squads.
• Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development practices.
Required Qualifications
• 5-8 years of full stack development experience.
• Experience with React 18/19, TypeScript, Next.js or Vite, and TailwindCSS.
• Experience building responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot or Node.js, along with Python.
• Experience with microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Firestore, or MongoDB, and Redis.
• Experience with vector stores such as pgvector, Pinecone, or Vertex AI Vector Search.
• Experience with GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrable daily use of AI coding agents, with the ability to demonstrate measurable productivity gains and explain approaches for reviewing AI-generated code.
• Experience building at least one production LLM feature using APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini.
• Experience with RAG, prompt engineering, and frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Experience implementing evaluations for GenAI applications.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, JUnit, or Playwright.
• Familiarity with TDD practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in restaurant, QSR, retail, or e-commerce technology, including POS, mobile ordering, loyalty, delivery integrations, or kiosks.
• Mobile development experience using React Native, Kotlin, or Swift.
• Experience with edge computing in retail or store environments.
• Experience with agent frameworks and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience with fine-tuning or platforms such as Vertex AI or Amazon Bedrock.
• Experience with C#/.NET or Azure.
• Cloud or AI certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Developer, AWS Developer, or relevant GenAI certifications.
