Responsibilities

  • Manage project teams and client relationships, setting clear expectations for requirements, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee project financials to ensure cost, revenue, and profit validation.
  • Evaluate specifications for each phase of construction planning.
  • Recruit and motivate project staff, including subcontractors and supervisors.
  • Enforce safety regulations and interpret company policies for team members.
  • Approve all construction invoices and coordinate with the accounting department.
  • Prepare and supervise proposals for future projects.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation during the bidding and project initiation phases.

Full Job Description
Annual Salary range is $100,000-$130,000 based on interview and experience.

Position Summary
  • Manages project teams and client relationships by clearly communicating expectations for project requirements, scope, schedule and budget.
  • Manages project financials to validate cost, revenue and profit.
  • Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the construction project.
  • Hires, directs and motivates supervisory personnel, subcontractors and staff engaged in planning and executing work procedures.
  • Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations.
  • Reviews and approves all invoices pertaining to the construction department and submits all approved bills to the regional accounting department for processing and payment.
  • Prepares and/or supervises the creation of proposals for future work.
  • Manages quality and H&S to achieve zero accidents and ensure quality goals are met.
  • Identifies value-creation opportunities during bid and/or early project phase.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (civil, mechanical, electrical) or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 10 years• experience in DOD construction projects, including 5 years of DOD Fuels related construction/quality control experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams with projects of moderate to advanced scope and complexity.
  • Promotes an environment where team members establish relationships and build trust with their stakeholder counterparts.
  • Proven track record of creating a positive environment where team members actively create high quality connections among each other.
  • Can anticipate the potential for changing conditions and collaborates as needed.
  • Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Able to meet time sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Able to analyze data and resolve issues.

The following certifications are preferred but not required:
  • API 653 Inspector
  • API 570 Inspector
  • NACE CIP Certification (any level)
  • STI Tank Inspector
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • ASNT Level II or III Certification
  • Quality Control Management (QCM) Course (USACE or Navy)
