The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Software Developer on the FADE program to build mission-critical, cloud and edge-native applications with advanced situational awareness and collaboration features.
Responsibilities:
- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, and related front-end frameworks
- Balance maintenance of a large, legacy codebase and implementation of new requirements using contemporary web technologies
- Create intuitive applications that handle large data sets and real-time information updates
- Engage with stakeholders and operations team to ensure high quality product development and use case satisfaction
- Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, WebSocket services, and distributed backend systems
- Collaborate with backend engineers and architects to leverage event-driven architectures
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Required:
- Hold a current TS/SCI clearance and polygraph preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of front-end development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with modern web application development tools
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and distributed systems
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills
Desired:
- Experience with Svelte or other modern front-end frameworks
- Familiarity with WebSockets, Kafka, and event-driven architectures
- Possess or be willing to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification
- Experience in secure government environments
