Job DescriptionTitle: FP&A Manager
Team: Finance
Location: Hybrid preferred with strong proximity to one of our hubs (Burlington, Waterloo, Houston); remote considered
About the RoleFinance at Mach7 is moving from a transactional function to a strategic, technology-enabled partner to the business. As FP&A Manager, you will own Mach7's forward-looking financial planning and analysis, turning data from our finance and revenue systems into forecasts, models, and insight that the CFO, CEO, and commercial teams use to make decisions.
You will also help modernize how Finance works, using automation and AI to replace manual spreadsheet processes, and you will lift the capability of the team around you. You will work closely with the CFO, Controller, and Assistant Controller, and help prepare information for the Board, the Audit & Risk Committee, our auditors, and our corporate services provider.
What You'll DoPlanning and forecasting
- Own the annual budget and rolling forecast process across the Group, including consolidation to AUD and treatment of functional currencies.
- Build and maintain the cash flow forecast and profit forecast, and report variances against budget and prior forecast for input into Board and Audit & Risk Committee reporting.
Modeling and technical support
- Build and maintain valuation and scenario models, and prepare the forecast inputs used in impairment testing and going concern assessments, for CFO review.
- Support transfer pricing, inter company funding, and other entity-level analysis with modeling.
Commercial partnering
- Analyze pricing, contract profitability, and margin by product, customer, and entity.
- Analyze and forecast the sales pipeline with RevOps, and link pipeline and bookings to revenue, deferred revenue, and cash.
- Provide clear commercial insight and recommendations to the CFO.
Finance transformation
- Identify and implement automation, reporting, and AI tools to reduce manual work in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Document models and processes so they are reliable, reviewable, and not dependent on one person.
- Coach colleagues in Finance on analysis, modeling, and new tools, and share practical ways of working that others can adopt.
What We're Looking ForRequired
• 5-8 years in FP&A, management accounting, commercial finance, or a similar analytical finance role.
• Proven ownership of a budget and rolling forecast, including cash flow and profit forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with live-formula, auditable models.
• Experience with a cloud ERP or accounting system and BI or reporting tools. We use Sage Intacct, so experience with it is helpful but not essential.
• Strong working knowledge of AI and automation tools, with examples of using them to improve how you work.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues.
• Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics, analytics, or similar. A professional accounting or finance designation (CA, CPA, CFA, CMA) is required.
Preferred
• Experience in software, SaaS, or health technology, including recurring revenue, deferred revenue, and contract-based revenue.
• Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation, or to an ASX-listed or similarly regulated environment.
• Experience supporting a sales or RevOps team with pipeline and bookings analysis.
We recognize that candidates bring diverse experiences and backgrounds. If you don't meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply! Many strong candidates don't check every box. We value potential, growth, and impact as much as experience.
Who You Are- Humble, hungry, and smart. You learn quickly, take feedback well, and want to grow with a small, changing business.
- Technology-native. You default to automating and improving a process rather than repeating it by hand, and you apply judgment to what AI tools produce.
- A strong team player. You will pitch in on whatever the team needs, including work outside the job description, when the business needs it.
- A natural teacher. You help colleagues build skills and confidence, and you respect the experience and institutional knowledge already in the team.
- Commercially minded. You connect the numbers to decisions and speak up when you see risk or opportunity.
- Controlled and careful. You protect confidential financial information and follow our security, disclosure, and approval requirements.
