Founding Technical Talent Partner - US📍 San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) | Remote US considered
💰 $100,000 - $125,000 base salary, plus benefits
The RoleJoin Chapter 2 as a Founding Technical Talent Partner and build the hiring function at an early-stage AI company from day one.
If you have been the first recruiter at a startup, love working side by side with founders, and want to own hiring end to end, this is your stage. You will lead technical hiring across engineering and product, and run go-to-market and support searches alongside it.
At its core, this role is about building: the team, the process and the hiring culture that lets an ambitious company scale.
What You'll Be Doing- Partnering directly with founders to set hiring priorities, define roles and run the process.
- Managing full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and screening through to offer and close.
- Leading hiring for senior software and AI engineers, alongside product, go-to-market and support roles.
- Building the hiring process from scratch: interview structure, scorecards and candidate experience.
- Using data to track progress and inform decisions at every step.
What We're Looking For- Experience as a founding or first recruiter at a seed or Series A startup.
- A track record of closing senior software or AI engineers.
- Experience partnering directly with founders or executive leaders on hiring.
- Experience running technical and non-technical searches at the same time.
- Confident sourcing across a range of platforms, with a focus on quality and long-term fit.
- Based in San Francisco, or elsewhere in the US and able to travel to San Francisco regularly.
