Why this role existsBenefits are one of the biggest costs a growing company carries, and one of its biggest levers for hiring and keeping people. Yet most companies get advice from brokers who show up with a capabilities deck and last year's plans.
We're building the firm that should exist instead: an AI-native advisory practice where the analysis is instant and the advisor's job is judgment. We're hiring a small number of people from top consulting firms to build it with us.
It's the part of consulting you liked: hard problems, senior clients, a real answer. The difference is that you own the client and the outcome, not the deck, and you're building the firm, not getting staffed on it.
What you'll do- Own a book of clients. Win them and run each relationship yourself, from first conversation through strategy, carrier negotiation, implementation and renewal. Their CEO, CFO and head of people call you.
- Be the expert in the room. Come to the first meeting already knowing their numbers, and leave them with a strategy they can take to their leadership team.
- Build the practice. Work directly with our founders on how we advise clients like these: the analyses we run, the product we build, the people we hire.
- Shape the product. Use our AI every day and tell our engineers what it should do next.
What you get- Ownership. A book that's yours, upside on what you build, and equity.
- A fast path to expertise. You'll be licensed in your first month and a real benefits expert within months, with the product doing the heavy lifting.
- Room to grow into leading a team as we scale.
What we're looking for- You've led client work at a top consulting firm. You're typically 4-8 years in, at manager level or above.
- You sell by being trusted. Clients bring you their hardest problems because they trust your judgment, and you've won and grown work on that trust, not by pitching harder.
- You're analytical and fast. You can turn a census, claims data and a renewal into a recommendation that both a CFO and a head of people trust.
- You want to own the outcome. You're done advising and want something that's yours.
- You're excited about AI. You want to see what advice looks like when AI handles the analysis and the busywork.
