Job Summary
The Forward Deployed Engineer will support new application development initiatives with a primary focus on React. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, rapidly develop solutions, and deploy applications into production. The engineer will own the full development lifecycle, including front-end development, back-end functionality, infrastructure automation, and application deployment. Strong Terraform scripting skills, AWS experience, and familiarity with AI coding tools are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop modern applications using React as the primary front-end technology.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into functional applications.
• Develop back-end functionality using .NET/C# or Python.
• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
• Deploy and support applications within AWS environments.
• Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases to support application requirements.
• Use GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar AI coding tools to accelerate development.
• Review, validate, and troubleshoot AI-assisted code while maintaining full responsibility for code quality.
• Manage solutions throughout the development lifecycle, from gathering business requirements through production deployment.
Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on React development experience.
• Strong back-end development experience using either .NET/C# or Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• 4+ years of experience working with AWS services.
• Experience with AWS technologies, including S3, ECS, Fargate, VPCs, and subnets.
• Hands-on Terraform experience, including the ability to write and maintain scripts.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot, Codex, or comparable AI coding tools.
• Ability to effectively prompt AI coding agents while independently reviewing, troubleshooting, and taking ownership of the underlying code.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and hands-on coding skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with MongoDB.
• Experience supporting multiple business groups or application requirements simultaneously.
• Experience rapidly translating business requirements into solutions and deploying them into production.
