Despite the best efforts of compliance, legal, risk, security and information technology departments, clients can remain uncertain on how to address and respond to the unexpected when corporate disruption occurs. Clients call upon EY to deploy former federal law enforcement officers, forensics accountants, compliance professionals and technology specialists to coordinate response activity and timelines, collect critical information and business intelligence, investigate suspicious activities, summarize procedures and outcomes, and streamline communications and reporting when responding to critical business events that can lead to an organizational crisis.

The opportunity

The EY Forensic & Integrity Services practice advises corporations and government clients on complex matters that require crisis management, fact-based investigations, digital investigations and insider threat, crisis & incident preparedness and business intelligence services. We service clients from various industries including financial services, technology, media & entertainment, real estate & construction, consumer products, health and life sciences and state & local governments, among others.

Working with clients across all industries, you'll help assess and develop innovative recommendations for some of the most challenging crisis management, safety & security, intelligence and bribery & corruption issues around. Since we work with such a diverse portfolio of clients, you can expect to take on a wide range of forensic solution-based projects, making this a great place to develop your skills and business knowledge.

Your key responsibilities

Because all clients have unique issues, it's no exaggeration to say you'll never be doing the same type of investigation for too long. You'll be part of a team that works with our clients' legal counsel, internal audit and compliance departments investigating complex issues and developing practical solutions that address operational challenges. It's all about using your technical skills and problem solving to creatively assess and resolve our clients' needs from the front lines.

To qualify for the role you must have
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, business, political science or related field
  • 5-8 years of related experience
  • Achieved or be working towards a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, CFE
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing client-facing reports and presentations.
  • Experience presenting findings, observations, and project updates to senior engagement team members and client stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with and providing guidance to junior team members in a team-based environment.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations


Ideally, you'll also have
  • Relevant forensic accounting, investigations, litigation, compliance, technology or dispute related experience, preferably within a professional services firm

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $104,800 to $192,300. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $125,700 to $218,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
