OverviewResponsibilities- Provides support on HVAC construction
- Serves as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects.
- Reports on job status and performance.
- Controls job costs.
- Develops and maintains productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs and subcontractors.
- Ensures use of PPE and the application of safe behavior, including vehicle safety, by all employees.
- Ensures compliance of Installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, etc.
- May oversee 3rd party resources.
- Directs and oversees the work of other Apprentices and Journeyman assigned to specific projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- HVAC Installation Knowledge
- Knowledge of sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units.
- Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to perform sheet metal assembly.
- Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical and plumbing.
- Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers.
- Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Qualifications- High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 5+ years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling.
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools.
- Knowledge of refrigeration equipment
- Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings.
