Your day-to-day
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance: execute scheduled servicing and inspections in accordance with manufacturer and internal guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical faults using OEM documentation and advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure vehicle readiness for high-visibility and public-facing demonstrations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, reliability, and functionality.
- Adhere to workshop safety practices and compliance standards, following risk assessments and regulations.
- Accurately record faults, repairs, and parts used with digital tools, maintaining up-to-date service logs.
- Communicate recurring issues or improvement suggestions to the Fleet Service Manager and Field Engineering teams.
- Act as a hands-on fleet expert and proactively engage with drivers to resolve issues and uphold a positive operational experience.
What you'll be working on
- Routine scheduled servicing and safety inspections on the full range of autonomous fleet vehicles
- Diagnosing and resolving automotive faults leveraging modern diagnostic tools
- Preparing vehicles for demonstrations, public events, and internal testing requirements
- Maintaining strict workshop safety and operational standards
- Using computer systems for job tracking, documenting maintenance, and reporting
- Providing feedback into ongoing fleet performance and improvement initiatives
You should apply if
- You hold relevant qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
- You have proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in an automotive servicing or fleet environment
- You possess strong diagnostic skills with OEM or third-party equipment
- You are familiar with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM repair manuals
- You are comfortable with computer systems for recording and tracking maintenance tasks (e.g., Word, Excel)
- You are comfortable collaborating with engineers, operations staff, and drivers
- You have a strong understanding of workshop safety and compliance standards
- You have a valid US driving license
Desirable- Experience working with vehicles equipped with ADAS or autonomous technology
- Understanding of AV fleet operational needs in a high-uptime environment
- Passion for emerging mobility technologies and willingness to learn new systems

This is a shift-based, full-time role based in Sunnyvale, CA. The reasonably estimated salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, plus competitive equity. Actual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
