Description
We're seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic with strong diesel/heavy-equipment experience to maintain and repair our truck and forklift fleet. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, and provides reliable, high-quality work using their own tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles including Class 1-9 trucks/trailers and Class IV & V forklifts.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fuel and emission systems, steering, suspension, transmissions, and air conditioning.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, oil changes, greasing, and thorough inspections.
- Perform 90-day BIT inspections on trucks and trailers and complete required paperwork.
- Use industry diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform quality repairs to OEM specifications and maintain accurate maintenance/repair records.
- Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow company safety procedures.
- Attend paid training as required.
Qualifications
- Proven fleet or heavy diesel mechanic experience (truck and forklift experience preferred).
- Strong diagnostic skills across diesel engines, air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance and both minor and major repairs.
- Familiarity with industry diagnostic tools/software.
- Valid driver's license.
- Good computer skills and effective oral/written communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform under pressure.
- Must have own tools and willingness to attend training
- Pay commensurate with experience.

Salary Description
$35-$45 per hour
