What will you be doing!- Overseeing daily site operations, including reviewing and approving work plans, schedules, and job packages.
- Ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with procedures, standards, and customer expectations.
- Coordinating with maintenance teams to allocate resources, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain workflow continuity.
- Maintaining a strong field presence to monitor safety, productivity, and work quality.
- Assigning work, leading pre- and post-job briefings, and facilitating effective cross-team communication.
- Analyzing operations and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Leading and supervising a multidisciplinary team including Utility Workers, Hoisting Engineers, Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, Trades, and Lead Hands.
- Coaching and mentoring team members through training, performance management, and development planning.
- Participating in hiring, onboarding, and training to ensure new employees are supported and set up for success.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety programs, regulations, and policies, including promoting a strong safety culture.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:- Education
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of technical or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, customers, and external vendors.
- Experience interpreting and applying regulatory, organizational, and union requirements.
- Knowledge of fleet, transportation, and heavy equipment operations, including applicable standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and construction drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, budgets, and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative in resolving issues.
- Experience with systems such as Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Oracle, or similar software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage administrative responsibilities.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
Working Conditions:- Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.
