Troubleshoot and support a firewall fleet exceeding 100 nodes
Evaluate technical solutions for business challenges
Present technical solutions for knowledge sharing

Job Description
This position is for a Firewall Engineer with a concentration on Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls. The right candidate will be a self-starter who can serve in a technical lead role, provide technical project management/oversight, and provide hands-on support at an SME level within areas of focus.
Responsibilities
Serve as an experienced engineer working with application teams to properly shape firewall rules.
Act as a liaison between the firewall team and Information Security.
System network requirements gathering
Engineer/Implementation of Checkpoint Nextgen firewall policies
Engineer/Implementation of Palo Alto Nextgen firewalls policies
Migrating legacy firewall policies to layer 7 policies
Supporting and implementing holistic security stacks relative to Nextgen Firewalls (e.g. IPS, IDS, Layer 7 rules, etc.)
Manage and implement Firewall code updates
In depth troubleshooting and supporting of firewall fleet exceeding 100 nodes
Evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges
Present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance
Provide project support and status reporting
Establish and maintain system documentation
Represent changes via CAB meetings
Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment
Qualifications
Advance hands on experience and knowledge of Firewall technologies
Experienced with BGP routing protocol
Advance hands on experience and knowledge with System design, administration, and security
Strong team player, able to communicate and show leadership amongst teams of similarly knowledgeable specialists and engineers
Experience supporting technical teams in a lead role
Experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity and/or prior experience working with Cloud environment(s) (e.g. Azure, AWS, or OCI)
Active certification as a professional in Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint
Active certification as a network professional (CCNP, CISSP, etc.)
