We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst located in the Washington, D.C. area.
What you'll do:
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will provide business and financial management support to PAE Maritime/SEA 21, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets by measuring organizational performance and assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
- Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
- Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets. May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
- Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
- Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
- Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
- Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
- Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
- Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
- Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience providing business and financial management support to U.S. Navy program offices
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field from an institution accredited in the United States
- EVM Certificate or equivalent
- DAU Cost Estimating credential
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
