Finance Controller
Job Summary
The Financial Controller is responsible for leading the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. This position plays a critical leadership role within a manufacturing environment by partnering with operations, supply chain, procurement, engineering, and executive leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen controls, and support strategic decision-making.
The Controller will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, manage the accounting team, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely reporting while driving continuous process improvements and ERP optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Perform variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Maintain internal controls and compliance.
- Assess financial risks and implement mitigation plans.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop accounting staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience including leadership experience.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
