What You Will Do:

The Financial Analyst analyzes and models financial data, interprets results, and recommends actions to help meet organizational goals. Responsibilities include forecasting, financial modeling, budgeting, reporting and managing billing, supporting financial operations across projects and units, identifying trends, and suggesting strategies for optimization and business models.  The Financial Analyst will optimize elements of the financial management structure by developing or transforming business processes, enhancing the efficiency of operations, improving transparency and performance management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations. This role focuses on driving finance domain excellence while leveraging technology solutions to deliver actionable insights, enhance operational efficiency, enable auditability, and modernize financial processes in alignment with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling, Reporting and Delivery: Deliver financial information to management by collecting and synthesizing data, modeling scenarios, producing comprehensive reports, and presenting analyses and actionable recommendations.

  • Financial Forecasting: Forecast project’s level of support that drives the project’s future cost and revenue performance and prepares monthly performance reports, explaining variances. Assist in determining financial consequences of alternative methods, plans and strategies. Develop and assist in the management of annual budgets for operating expenses.

  • Technology Enablement: Drive adoption of advanced tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Power Query) to build dashboards and automate workflows, with the potential for developing AI-driven models for financial data analysis going forward.

  • Finance Transformation Projects: Helping to provide end-to-end delivery of initiatives that modernize financial operations, improve transparency, and strengthen performance management.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, providing strategic guidance and ensuring alignment with federal financial policies and audit readiness.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field. Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has Four (4) additional years of experience.

  • Seven (7) years of more in financial analysis, budget formulation, and budget execution experience. Analyzing, applying problem solving methods, and financial modeling to identify solutions to complex problems, draw conclusions, and make recommendations to senior management.

  • Hands-on experience with data analytics and automation applied to financial management use cases.

  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.

  • Strong communication and project management capabilities; ability to synthesize complex information and deliver high-impact solutions in fast-paced environments.

  • Candidate must be a US citizen per contract requirement.

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
