What will you do? In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our financial planning, cost controlling and reporting. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage advanced analytics, and help drive meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
Core Financial Responsibilities - Be the financial partner to the department leader and prepare monthly cost center reviews with to help them manage and optimize their budgets.
- Assist in developing the annual budget and forecast, analyzing actual results versus plan, prior periods, and business drivers.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, financial reports, and reconciliations.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and cost-management programs led by the FP&A team.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and other business teams to gather, validate, and interpret financial information.
Sales & Planning Support - Respond to Sales team reporting needs, including requests related to sales planning and performance.
- Contribute to the annual target-setting process using global and local planning tools.
Process Improvements in Finance & Accounting - Enhance the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of month-end close and reporting through AI and process automation, reducing manual work and streamlining routine tasks.
- Identify and execute opportunities to digitalize and automate Finance processes, improving efficiency and reporting reliability.
[Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 75,000 CAD - $ 95,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of up to 10% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.]
What will you need to succeed? - Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are preferred
- Experience with Power BI and AI-driven analytics is considered a strong asset
- Familiarity with SAP is an asset
- Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret financial data, and support accurate reporting
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proactive, curious, and self-motivated mindset, with a willingness to learn new systems, investigate issues, and contribute to process improvements
