Responsibilities

The Financial Analyst will assist building out a data driven and analytical culture within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple financial analysis projects at the same time. At month end, you will be responsible for preparing corporate models and related budget, projection, and actual variance commentary. The role will also require assisting with other finance and accounting responsibilities and projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurately produces monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Coordinates monthly closing process with team.

  • Provide support to the Finance Manager in terms of accounting compliance – GAAP/FASB.

  • Responsible for the operations and oversight of project accounting operations including cash management, general ledger, job cost, budget accounting, contract management, A/P, and maintenance of fiscal records.

  • An understanding of development processes, including job cost tracking, and contract management.

  • Prepares, maintains, and reconciles the business plan model to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Responsible for review of monthly job cost and financial reporting to make changes prior to month end. Coordinates with onsite PM’s to ensure accurate forecasting.

  • Coordinates the Developer’s financial management functions in conjunction with the SRV model.

  • Update and maintain short-term cash flow projections in the form of a weekly cash flow and sources & uses as needed.

  • Produces, updates, maintains, and monitors accounting procedures at the project.

  • Support Finance Manager and Project CFO with relationships with lenders, maintain draw schedules, and pay app / waiver documentation with the PMs.

  • Create internal auditing programs/routines to ensure records are accurately maintained while consistently following policies and procedures to align with the department’s annual external audit exercise.

  • Any/all other tasks necessary to accomplish the departmental and project goals.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related quantitative field

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Familiarity with Accounting GAAP

  • Experience in creating and analyzing advanced Excel models.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.

  • Strong problem solving and mathematical skills.

  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company’s good faith estimate of the salary rate expected to pay for this role is $80,000 to $110,000 annually and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
