Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will support a large-scale capital transformation program by managing project financials, monitoring capital spending, and providing financial insights to support executive decision-making. The role will partner with Strategic Planning, Cost Analysis, Design & Construction, and Operations teams to manage budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and project performance across multiple initiatives. The position may be remote or hybrid in Deerfield, Illinois, with potential onsite work three to four days per week depending on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Track and manage project costs against approved capital budgets.
• Monitor spending, commitments, forecasts, and variances across multiple projects and programs.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, budget analyses, and executive-level summaries.
• Partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and operational leaders to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
• Communicate complex financial information to stakeholders with varying levels of financial expertise.
• Support capital planning, budget management, and financial performance tracking.
• Analyze project financial data to identify risks, trends, and savings opportunities.
• Maintain project financial information within SAP and related financial systems.
• Utilize Ariba to support procurement-related financial tracking and reporting activities.
• Upload and maintain project data within ProTrack and other project management tools.
• Support Power BI dashboard initiatives and assist with data validation and reporting accuracy.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide ongoing financial support throughout project execution.
• Assist with ROI analysis and business case development for capital investment initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, project accounting, capital planning, budget management, or program financial management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Experience utilizing Ariba or a similar procurement platform integrated with SAP.
• Experience with financial reporting, including budget tracking, variance analysis, cost reporting, and capital expenditure management.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams and building relationships with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
• Experience with forecasting and financial planning.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting capital projects, store development, construction, facilities, or retail operations programs.
• Project accounting experience.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboards.
• Experience with ProTrack or similar project tracking applications.
• Experience within retail, healthcare, pharmacy, or multi-site operating environments.
• Understanding of capital expenditure (CapEx) programs and project lifecycle financial management.
