As a Finance Manager, you will lead the financial management and project controls function for a large client portfolio. This role is responsible for overseeing a Finance, managing client relationships, owning financial performance, and driving strategic initiatives that improve operational and financial outcomes.

This position serves as the primary liaison between the client, senior leadership, PMO leadership, operations teams, and corporate finance. The Finance Manager is accountable for budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, executive reporting, process improvement initiatives, financial governance, and ensuring the timely delivery of all client and corporate financial requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Provide formal supervision to Finance employees. Monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Manage the team's daily activities, establish priorities, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely delivery of all client and corporate financial deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, senior leadership, PMO leadership, and operational stakeholders regarding all financial matters.
  • Own the client financial relationship, including monthly business reviews, financial performance discussions, budget presentations, and management reporting.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting process, long-range planning, and overall portfolio financial strategy.
  • Manage the account P&L, including revenue recognition, expense management, profitability analysis, variance reporting, accrual management, and financial performance tracking.
  • Produce and present executive-level financial reports, dashboards, business reviews, and strategic recommendations to client and internal leadership.
  • Drive analytical efforts to identify financial risks, opportunities, cost savings, operational improvements, and business trends.
  • Develop and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators, including project profitability, invoice cycle times, resource utilization, forecasting accuracy, and portfolio performance.
  • Lead operational efficiency initiatives, including:
    • Standardization of billing and invoicing processes.
    • Alignment and consolidation of CSI coding structures.
    • Automation of manual financial tracking and reporting processes.
    • Improvement of project closeout financial reporting and communication.
    • Implementation and monitoring of PMO fee tracking methodologies.
  • Oversee billing operations and financial governance within D365, including labor invoicing review, expense validation, and transition of third-party spend management processes.
  • Review project expenses, revenue recognition activities, and monthly accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance with client and company requirements.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and ensuring adoption of new tools, procedures, and standard operating processes.
  • Assess and strengthen financial controls, internal audit requirements, reporting accuracy, and compliance standards.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of monthly financial presentations, management reports, month-end close support, annual budgets, and forecasting cycles.
  • Serve as the central communication point for financial updates, organizational changes, policy implementation, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, resolve escalated issues, and influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Apply advanced financial and operational expertise to solve complex business issues and improve overall account performance.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, FP&A, project finance, project controls, PMO finance, or client-facing financial operations.
  • Experience leading teams and managing client relationships within a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, annual planning cycles, and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, reporting, and business partnering skills.
  • Experience driving process improvement, workflow optimization, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive, complex, and strategic financial information to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop teams while driving quality, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Advanced financial acumen with the ability to analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations that drive business results.
