Finance Manager

Strategic Dining Services (SDS) | CCL Hospitality Group

Divisional President; Regional Vice Presidents; SDS Operations, Account Management, Clients, Data & Analytics, Accounting, HR, and other cross-functional partners

Operational finance, client reporting, forecasting, process improvement, financial insights, and strategic business support

Position Summary

The Finance Manager is a strategic finance business partner reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance. This role provides financial leadership and decision support for Strategic Dining Services (SDS), partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Account Management, client stakeholders, and executive leadership to support growth, retention, profitability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical capability with a collaborative, client-focused mindset. This individual will translate complex financial data into actionable insights, support customized client reporting needs, and help build scalable processes that improve visibility, accountability, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead routine and ad hoc financial analysis to support business performance, margin improvement, and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and performance reporting for SDS and CCL leadership.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes.
  • Support the monthly close process, accrual analysis, balance sheet reviews, and recurring financial reporting.


Operations Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to SDS operational leaders, Regional Vice Presidents, and account leadership.
  • Partner with operations teams to improve financial performance, strengthen accountability, and support operational best practices.
  • Support new business launches, rebids, retention efforts, RFPs, and contract-related analysis through financial modeling and business insight.
  • Help implement finance processes that create value through better reporting, faster workflows, and improved decision support.


Client Financial Management & Account Support
  • Work closely with clients and account teams on customized reporting, financial insights, and account management support.
  • Help clients and internal stakeholders understand financial results, key performance indicators, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage client-specific reporting requirements, mapping needs, and other customized financial support with flexibility and attention to data integrity.
  • Act as a finance liaison between SDS leadership, operations teams, account management, and client stakeholders to support strong relationships and retention.


Process Improvement & Business Intelligence
  • Identify and implement process improvements that streamline financial workflows and improve reporting quality.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to develop automated reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Leverage tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar platforms to support scalable reporting and financial visibility.
  • Promote continuous improvement in operational reporting, financial training, analysis, and decision support.


Strategic Initiatives & Cross-Functional Support
  • Support SDS and CCL growth initiatives, including pricing analysis, financial modeling, contract reviews, and strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, Training/Orientation, Accounting, FASTeam, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Provide financial support for business retention, corporate overhead analysis, operational best practices, and other leadership priorities.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced professional certification preferred.


Experience
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Operations Finance, Accounting, Financial Audit, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations, hospitality, healthcare, foodservice, or service-based organizations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with operational leaders and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with client-facing reporting, account support, customized reporting, or financial mapping strongly preferred.


Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical finance and accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional business acumen.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with BI/data platforms such as QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Ability to learn quickly, operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to new projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the flexibility to support customized client reporting and account management needs.
