Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Support the month-end close process by partnering with accounting and finance leadership to ensure the financial statements are completed accurately within the required reporting deadlines
  • Analyze monthly results, identify key variances, and provide clear explanations of drivers impacting revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, working capital, and cash flow
  • Prepare financial reporting packages, variance commentary, balance sheet reviews, and other management reporting deliverables for plant and corporate leadership
  • Partner with general managers and operations leaders to explain financial performance and provide insight into production costs, material usage, labor efficiency, inventory levels, freight costs, pricing trends, and plant profitability
  • Support the internal control environment by ensuring key financial controls are properly documented, executed, reviewed, and retained in accordance with company policy and public company compliance requirements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for manufacturing operations, including sales volume, average selling price, labor costs, raw materials, repairs and maintenance, plant overhead, and capital expenditures
  • Contribute to special projects, strategic initiatives, capital investments, and cross-functional efforts, bringing financial analysis, project discipline, and collaborative problem-solving to business priorities
  • Support the development, enhancement, and governance of financial models used for long-range planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with corporate standards
  • Partner on integration activities for recently acquired companies, including coordination with IT on system changeovers, financial reporting alignment, process integration, and project execution support
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of Finance and business leadership, ensuring business unit objectives are aligned with divisional and corporate goals


What You'll Need
  • Strong month-end close leadership skills with the ability to manage deadlines, coordinate cross-functional inputs, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced public-company environment
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience developing financial models, forecasts, and performance management tools that support business decision-making
  • Strong understanding of profitability drivers, financial systems, and data mining techniques across multiple platforms
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate clear, actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships, influence key stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or related field; distribution or manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Experience with internal controls, SOX compliance, audit support, and control documentation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA strongly preferred
