As a Product Portfolio Operations Manager in Finance Data & Insights, you are a foundational member of a team responsible for implementing connectivity strategies across the product space, while being directly responsible for creating structures that enhance coordination in our product line. You will own the operating cadence and governance that keeps planning, priorities, and execution aligned across the group's seven Area Products. You will be a trusted partner to leadership, running executive communication cadences, supporting strategic planning sessions, and ensuring leadership forums have clear narratives, trade-offs, and decision asks.

In this role, you will drive productivity and operational efficiency by working closely with Agility Leads to identify data-driven improvement opportunities and standardize ways of working across product areas. You will coach and enable Area Product Owners on discovery practices and portfolio governance, ensuring consistent adoption and stronger throughput, predictability, and capacity allocation.

Job responsibilities

  • Works across products to help ensure delivery against business objectives while coordinating reporting and communications plans for portfolio management operations and change initiatives
  • Enables operational efficiency by supporting training, maturation, needs assessments, and continuous improvement practices
  • Drives adaptation and modification of our product-line framework to ensure cross-product priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs are realized
  • Implements a product-level collection strategy consisting of controls, financials, and resourcing needs
  • Owns end-to-end quarterly planning and ongoing roadmap governance, including intake, prioritization, capacity, dependencies, commitments, risk management, and change control, while driving escalations and decision points
  • Collaborates with the Product Owner, Area Product Owners, and Agility Leads to understand goals and align objectives and priorities
  • Coaches and enables Area Product Owners on discovery practices and portfolio ways of working to ensure consistent adoption across product areas
  • Monitors overall portfolio health through key metrics and data, including business and customer outcomes, objectives and key results, product health metrics, and capacity distribution
  • Owns the development of leadership-ready narratives and materials for key forums, including quarterly business reviews and roadmap updates, with clear decision asks, options, and trade-offs
  • Provides strategic and analytical support to the leadership team as they develop new strategies and deliver on priorities
  • Manages operational cadences for executive communication and reporting with clear timelines and accountability

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization
  • Proven ability to manage and implement operational effectiveness initiatives
  • Proven ability to operate within the product development life cycle and agile methodologies
  • Experience managing portfolio cadences such as quarterly planning, roadmap governance, and executive reporting
  • Working proficiency with Jira and Jira Align for portfolio reporting and transparency
  • Exceptional consulting abilities to guide partners in optimizing their product strategies and achieving business objectives
  • Experience collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including analysts, business leaders, and technology teams
  • Ability to assess adoption challenges, analyze feedback, and develop targeted solutions to drive success
  • Excellent communication skills with experience authoring executive-level communications and presentations
  • Ability to synthesize complex information in a strategic and compelling way for effective communication to relevant stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

  • Experience working in consumer finance and/or a consumer data environment
  • Experience working in an internal strategy group or at a strategy/management consulting firm
